One man is helping his brother's legacy live on.

Brandon Burlsworth walked onto the Razorback football team in 1994, without one D1 scholarship offer. He worked his way to being a three-year starter and was eventually named an All-American in 1998. His hard work paid off, as he was selected to play for the Indianapolis Colts in the 1999 NFL draft.

Just 11 days later, he was killed in a car accident.

Brandon's brother Marty created the Burlsworth Foundation in his honor, which supports the physical and spiritual needs of children, in particular those children that have limited opportunities.

For the last three years the Burlsworth Foundation has awarded a college walk-on athlete with the Burlsworth Trophy. Out of 50 nominees, just three finalists remain for the 2012 Burlsworth Trophy including Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin, San Jose State tackle David Quessenberry, and University of Michigan safety Jordan Kovacs.

The winner will be announced Monday, December 3 at the Springdale Convention Center.
