Block Street Bizarre Boost Local Business

By: Cassidy Hodges
Updated: December 2, 2012
Small shops on Block Avenue are hosting the second annual "Block Street Bazaar" in downtown Fayetteville.
Folks were able to visit local businesses and take pictures with the grinch --and even take part in a scavenger hunt with a cash prize!

All the scheduled events were designed to spike sales for small local businesses... Which in turn the business owners say help our economy.
"It's important to support your local businesses this time of year. They're the ones that pay local musicians to play in their bars and they're the ones that support local charities and hire local artists and artisans and sponsor local events," says Hannah Withers, who owns Little Bread Company.
Block Street shop owners estimate over 2,000 people came out and attended the bazaar Sunday afternoon.
