Tricycle Theatre for Youth, also known as "Trike Theatre", Northwest Arkansas' professional theatre for youth, was formed in September 2008 and received its 501c3 status in 2009.

Trike was founded by Artistic Director, Kassie Misiewicz, and borne of a deep need for cultural exposure for the youth within our small Arkansas community. Having worked for professional children theatres in Seattle, Milwaukee, New Jersey and Nashville, Kassie Misiewicz decided to begin one of her own. And so it was, that in 2008, she founded Trike along with Christa Davis and Marie Vukin.

From the beginning the mission of Trike was to create extraordinary theatre experiences for young people and families, strengthen community, advance education through the arts, and inspire young voices. That mission has not changed. Currently Trike provides in-school and in studio exposure to the arts to more than 25,000 students within Arkansas via:

Theatre for Youth (TfY) - High quality professional theatre for youth productions. Artistic team consists of experienced paid professionals.

Outreach - In-school arts integration residencies and workshops. These 30 minute to 30 week programs incorporate multiple drama strategies to enrich literacy skills for Pre-K through 8th grade students. Additionally, via professional development programs, we provide arts integration training to more than 500 teachers a year.

Academy - Young actor training programs manifesting in summer Fine Arts and performance camps, school year camps and classes and our Academy Players training and performance program.

Trike Theatre is a rostered with the Arkansas Arts Council, both as anArts-in-Educationartist and Arts On Tour.
