The Salvation Army had some star power helping them today. Television host Nick Cannon was in Northwest Arkansas.

Walmart stores in the area had a competition to see how many toys they could get donated to the Salvation Army "Fill the Truck" event in just one day. The winner, got to meet Nick.

The actor, singer and comedian went to the Pleasant Grove Walmart and surprised the the associates and guests.

He then donated some of his "Ncredible" brand headphones to the Salvation Army truck.

"Lots of people kind of get together and it's all about giving and family but then there's the less fortunate that may not be able to do that and not have that luxury so to be able to give back is always a pleasure in itself."

The star was in NWA working with Walmart to promote his headphones brand earlier in the day.

About 2,500 Walmart stores nationwide participate in "Fill the Truck" this year. All the donations will go toward local needy children.
