The Mount Sequoyah Center kicked off "Merry Little Christmas at Mount Sequoyah."

It was a free family fun event Saturday night, and the lighting of the grounds was hosted by Chief Meteorologist Dan Skoff.

Folks enjoyed holiday festivites with gift markets showcasing goods from local business owners, artists and designers. Of course, Santa Claus also made an appearance to bring the holiday cheer.

The Fayetteville Jazz Collective took the stage as well as several local choirs, and they all performed those holiday classics to help kick off the season.
