In this Women of Northwest Arkansas report Neile Jones introduces us to a young woman going after her dreams.

At 13-years old, she's headed to Memphis for a big audition that may just put her on the Show "America's Got Talent."

The sound of music is nothing new in this house. In fact, Kaya Kidd says, "I sing pretty much everywhere just for fun; in the shower, in the car, just like everywhere."

The teenager says she's been singing almost half her life. "I've been singing for about seven years and I finally just realized that I wanted to be a singer."

She started watching a popular TV show "America's Got Talent" on KNWA and it wasn't long before Kaya told her mom she wanted to audition.

Now mom and daughter are headed to Memphis hoping the judges will like what they hear during Kaya's once in a lifetime moment.

We of course asked for a sneak peek of the performance and without hesitation Kay went straight into her audition song.

One thing is for sure; this young lady from Fayetteville says The "America's Got Talent" audition is all about the experience, because win or lose, she'll continue going after her dreams one song at a time.

Kaya will hear sometime in January or February if she has made it to the next round.
