What moments, memes and news makers made it into your Facebook feed in 2012?

On Thursday, the social media monster released it's Year in Review, looking back on the items that created the most buzz among the billion people on Facebook.

In the U.S. the presidential election took the top spot as far as events that trended. The Super Bowl and Whitney Houston's death came in second and third.

Hunger Games garnered lots of buzz topping the list of trending movies and books.  And where was the number one spot for check-ins in 2012?  It was Times Square in New York City.
