Kids in need of food across Northwest Arkansas will not go without over the winter break thanks the Samaritan Community Center.
As part of their "Snack-Pack" Program they will deliver over 10,000 snack packs to kids in Fayetteville and Springdale over the next few days.
The packs include 8 food and snack items like crackers, soups and more.
The Center says Arkansas is one of several states dealing with high food insecurity and this is just one way to help out.
Bonnie Faitak of the Samaritan Center said, "We have over 45-thousand kids on free and reduced lunch in the 4 county area in Northwest Arkansas. Our mission is really to fill the gap when children are at home in case they don't have enough to eat when they are at home."
The Samaritan Center says they are always looking for more volunteers to help pack the snack packs.
