Turpentine Creek to Hold Volunteer Day Sat., Dec. 22

By: Lisa Mendenhall
Updated: December 20, 2012
A wildlife refuge is looking for a few helping hands to build homes for big cats.

On Saturday, December 22 Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge will hold a Volunteer Day to continue construction on several new enclosures.

They're looking for people who can help install fencing and paint.

These facilities house the cats Turpentine recently took in from a private habitat that surrendered more than 30 tigers and other big cats in November.

If you're interested in pitching in, head to the organization's Facebook page to find out more!

You can also email Ivy Cooper at ivy@turpentinecreek.org to volunteer your time.
