Washington County Fields Calls About Weather Alert System

Washington County is seeing more interest in the CodeRED warning system ahead of potential severe weather Wednesday night.

The Department of Emergency Management says many people are calling to sign up for the system, which automatically alerts people in the path of storms.

The free service is available to anyone in the unincorporated areas of the county. If you would like to sign up, just visit this site.
