George H.W. Bush
Former President George H.W. Bush is probably going to spend Christmas in a Houston hospital despite doctors' hopes that he'd be released before the holiday.  Doctors haven't set a discharge date as they want to make sure the 88-year-old builds up his energy. Bush has been hospitalized for about a month after getting bronchitis.

Jack Klugman, best known as the messy sports writer in TV's "The Odd Couple", has died.  He passed away at his California home on Monday with his wife, Peggy, at his side.  Klugman also starred as Doctor Quincy in the drama "Quincy M.E." from 1976 to 1983.  He was 90-years-old.

Houston Explosion
A gasoline can exploded in a backyard, injuring six children. Houston area TV stations report it happened after kids were sprinkling gasoline on a fire pit behind a home in McKinney. The gasoline can blew up, burning the children. Some of the injuries are believed to be serious, with some of the victims flown to the hospital. Adults were inside the house when it happened.
