Threat of Snow Doesn't Stop Holiday Celebrations

The potential for snowfall didn't seem to put a cramp on holiday plans to visit family.

"I'm from Illinois, so snow doesn't really bother me," says Robert Guardiola. "Usually it's other drivers not taking precautions, and not driving slowly when the snow comes in."

Guardiola is ready to head back to work after the holiday weekend.

"I work tomorrow," he says. "I guess I don't have to be there  but you know they want you there the day after Christmas to help out."

If severe weather hits, he wants drivers to stay safe.

"If you don't have to go out just try to stay at home," he says. "Use the speed limit and at least drive and give a little more distance on the car in front of you."

Some folks were even looking forward to a few flakes.

"I'm for it, definitely," says Michael Hesterly. "They're out of school, I can have fun with my kids. We can go sledding, snowmen, snowball fights."

Jeff Hall headed out to the lake to spend Christmas evening with the grandparents.

"If we do get some weather we may have to stay out there," he says. "We drove this just in case, you know we have the four wheel drive."

Snow in the forecast wasn't enough to stop Lynn Konz from celebrating her holiday tradition, going to the matinee.

"That's very scary but we will trudge through," she says. "We are avid moviegoers."

Konz doesn't like the idea of getting stuck at the multiplex, however.

"I want to be home," she says. "That's where I want to hide out."
