As soon as thirteen year old Jonah Mitchell walked into Riffraff, the shop girls noticed him immediately.

"I had a choir concert on the on the Fayetteville square. I told my mom that I was going to go shopping with some friends after the concert. But, I went down to Riffraff and decided I was going to buy her a shirt, a necklace and some earrings," said Jonah.

"He was looking kind of lost being in a women's boutique. We don't get too many customers that are his age. He basically was like I've got a budget crunch. I've only got $50 to spend," said Brooke Sanderson of Riffraff.

The young man's act of kindness inspired the ladies at check out to do a good deed of their own.

"We just loved that he wanted to spend money that he was supposed to spend on himself, on another person. So, we kind of wanted to pay it forward since he was doing that. I told him that we would be coming his whole purchase, he was so grateful," said Brooke.

The giving didn't end at the counter at Riffraff. Jonah took the money he was going to spend on his mom and paid it forward to a family on the Fayetteville square.

'He still had his $50 and he said 'Mom, I really want to give this to somebody,' so I said well, honey. You just need to be watching and pray about it and ask God to tell you who would be a good receipient," said Sherrie Mitchell, Jonah's mom.

"I decided to go down to the square and find someone who needed money for their kids to ride the ponies. So, I gave the $50 to this man who said Merry Christmas to us. It just felt really good to give," said Jonah.

A simple, selfless deed. Inspiring others to give this holiday season.
