If you're looking for a way to get rid of your tree now that Christmas is over, there are a few options in Northwest Arkansas.

If you live in Fayetteville you can set your tree out on the curb for collection free of charge on your regular collection day through January 12.

They ask that you clean off all ornaments and tinsel and do not pack the tree in a plastic bag or they will not pick it up.

Artificial trees will not be accepted.

Residents can also bring their trees to the Compost site for free during the facility's normal operating hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3;00 p.m. It will also be open Saturday, January 5 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

In Benton County, the Solid Waste District will be collecting live trees for use as fish habitat in SWEPCO lake.

They will accept deliveries at the facility's location on Brookside Rd. in Centerton from 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday until January 12.
Trees with sprayed-on or attached decorations will not be accepted.
