This is Saturday's edition of -- The Pulse.

Number five -- A million dollar tuna in Japan. A bluefin tuna weighed in at around 490 pounds and was bought by the head of a popular sushi chain for a record price of $1.7 million. The owner said the fish is big enough to make 10,000 pieces of sushi, so he would have to charge $176 a slice just to break even.

Number four -- The Food and Drug Administration dishing out new rules. In an effort to eliminate foodborn illnesses like salmonella, listeria and e-coli. One of the proposed rules requires science-based standards for growing, harvesting, packing and holding produce on domestic and foreign farms. The second rule requires companies to have plans for foodborne illnesses.

Number three -- Lance Armstrong doping allegations scandal. The New York Times reports Armstrong has told "associates and anti-doping officials" that he may publicly admit to using performance-enhancing drugs.  Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles last fall after a U.S. anti-doping agency report stated there was "overwhelming" evidence he was involved in a doping program. Armstrong has denied the allegations, but the Times said sources claim he may admit to it so he can resume his athletic career in triathlons.

Number two -- A 7.5 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Alaska. The quake initially set off a tsunami warning for portions of western Canada and southeastern Alaska on Saturday, but was later canceled. No serious damage is reported, but folks in Hawaii may experience larger waves and stronger currents because of the quake.

Number one -- A standoff between police and an armed gunman in Aurora, Colorado ended with four people dead. Police said when the suspect fired on officers from an upstairs window, the officers fired back. Police went in and found the suspect and three other people dead inside the home. No word yet on who the man was, or what connection he had to the victims. This shooting is rattling the community of Aurora, as just a gunman opened fire in an Aurora movie theater in July, killing 12 people.
