There are a few new album release announcements to be excited about Thursday and Sandusky is back in court. Here is Thursday's edition of "The Pulse".

Britney Leaves X Factor
It looks like Britney won't be judging anyone anymore on the X Factor. "People" says the pop princess has decided to leave the show after just one season. The source says Spears wants to concentrate on her music.

Destiny's Child Album
Destiny's child is at it again! The news of a new album release was announced by the group's lead singer and most successful member, Beyonc, posted Thursday to her official website. The "Survivor" singers will release a greatest hits compilation album titled "Love Songs" on Jan. 29.

Justin Timberlake
Another album release surprise, Justin Timberlake announced Thursday a countdown clock is set for midnight this Sunday for another announcement. Rumor has it he'll be announcing a new album set to be released sometime this year.

Killer Whales in Trouble
Time is running short for a pack of killer whales trapped by ice in Canada. Part of the Hudson Bay recently froze over forcing the animals to share a small opening in the ice as a breathing hole. Ideally, an icebreaker would clear a path for the whales, but officials say the nearest crew is too far away. The Canadian government is sending experts to the scene to see whether the orcas can be saved.

Sandusky
Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was sent on his way back to lockup today after a court appearance. Lawyers for the convicted child sex abuser filed a motion for a new trial in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.  They have argued there was insufficient evidence to convict Sandusky and that the court didn't allow them enough time to prepare for trial.
