Pea Ridge Officer Hit by Car

A Pea Ridge Police Officer is recovering after he was hit by a car Thursday while working an accident.
According to Police Chief Tim Ledbetter, Officer Joey Ferris had been dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on Highway 72 near Barris Lane.
He was on the side of the road helping the car out of a ditch when he was struck by another vehicle that was traveling Westbound.

Ledbetter could not comment on the extent of Ferris' injuries.
As of now, no charges have been filed against the driver.
The accident is under investigation by Arkansas State Police.
