Miss Arkansas Prepares for Miss America

Miss America 2013 gets underway in Las Vegas on Saturday, and Miss Arkansas has been doing well in preliminary competition. On Thursday, the girls were asked questions about the foundations they support, and Sloane Roberts spoke about Love Always Hopes, which helps to prevent child abduction."The message that I try to get across to children is that they are strong, they are smart and they have the right to be safe," she said. "And instilling this in young boys and girls is the best way to handle the situation."Sloane Roberts was selected as Miss Arkansas after competing as Miss Heart of the Ozarks.The full competition gets underway Saturday night at 8:00.
