A Springdale man faces three counts of aggravated assault after police say he tried to run over his ex-wife and two small children with his SUV.

Officers arrested 31-year-old Carlos Rosales Sunday night after he crashed his SUV into a parked car on Shelby Avenue.

Police said he tried to run over his ex-wife and his two children as he left the Aldi's parking lot on South Thompson Street just after 6pm.

A short time later, police said that Rosales rolled his car on Shelby Avenue.

In addition to aggravated assault, Rosales also faces a DWI charge.
