Hutchinson's Favorable Rating Tops McDaniel's in AR Gubernatorial Race Poll

The survey by Public Policy Polling asked "Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Asa Hutchinson/Dustin McDaniel?"
The results give Hutchinson with a 39-percent favorable opinion rating and an unfavorable opinion rating of 30-percent. Numbers for McDaniel are 25-percent favorable opinion and 40-percent unfavorable.
When asked who they would vote for in the November 2014 election, Hutchinson comes out on top again with 46-percent to McDaniel's 33-percent.
The survey asked 11 other questions, including, "Generally speaking, do you think Arkansas is headed in the right direction, or is it off on the wrong track? Fifty-one percent responded the state was headed in the right direction, 28-percent chose the wrong track option and another 22-percent were "not sure."

Earlier this month, North Little Rock businessman Curtis Coleman filed papers to establish an exploratory committee in his bid for the Governor's seat.
Coleman, who is CEO of Safe Foods, was an adviser to former GOP Gov. Mike Huckabee and ran for the Arkansas Republican Party nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2010.
