Kistler Treatment Center Receives Hefty Grant

Updated: January 16, 2013

The Degan Foundation has awarded the Gregory Kistler Treatment Center a grant in the amount of $48,960.

The grant will help fund physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy services for uninsured children. These are children whose families earn too much to qualify for Medicaid, they may have limited health insurance coverage, or may have lost insurance due to downsizing and lay-offs.

Jennifer Kistler, Executive Director, says "the funds will be used exclusively to help numerous children without access to other forms of payment for therapy. These are the challenged children who often 'fall through the cracks', so to speak, and, in fact, are turned away from other facilities".
