A giant nugget and more strange twists and turns in the Manti Te'o girlfriend hoax.  These are your Top Trenders this morning.
Number 5:  Disgraced former South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford is throwing his hat back in the political ring.
Sanford announced he is running for Congress.
You may remember the governor's political career came to a halt in 2009, after he admitted to having an affair with a woman in Argentina.
Sanford is seeking the congressional seat being vacated by Republican Representative Tim Scott.
Number 4:  Michelle Obama gets a Twitter account, and a new look.
The first lady turned 49 Thursday, and to celebrate her staff launched a new official Twitter account -- @FLOTUS, which of course stands for First Lady of the United States.
However, the internet was buzzing even more so over her new hair cut, complete with freshly cut bangs.
Number 3:  Talk about a lucky find!
A prospector in Australia found a 12 lb. gold nugget with his state-of-the-art metal detector!
The lucky man is staying anonymous and handed over the find to a gold shop owner which will sell the chunk of gold to the highest bidder.
It's said to be worth about $295,000.
Number 2:  Lance Armstrong.
After years of staunch denials, the cyclist finally comes clean to Oprah Winfrey.
Armstrong admitted he was doping while winning his record string of seven Tour de France titles.
However, the disgraced cyclist struggled to explain why he's confessing now.
Winfrey says the second part of the interview, which airs tonight, will focus on how the fallout has impacted Armstrong's family, sponsors and Livestrong charity.
Number 1:  The fallout from the Manti Te'o hoax continues.
If you haven't heard yet, Te'o's girlfriend, who supposedly died of leukemia, never existed.
The Notre Dame linebacker says he was the victim of a sick joke.
So who's really behind the hoax?
Deadspin.com, which broke the story, points to a man named Ronaiah Tuiasosopo.
Citing friends and relatives of Tuiasosopo's, Deadspin says he created the girlfriend and spread the myth online.
The site also claims Tuiasosopo and Manti Te'o know each other.
