In Fort Smith, police arrested a man in connection with a rape back in 2002.

Officers said 31-year-old Leroy King's DNA was collected during a recent kidnapping and domestic violence investigation. When authorities entered his DNA into the system, it matched the DNA collected in a rape investigation from nearly a decade ago.

King was cuffed by the Fort Smith SWAT team on Friday and is being held in the Sebastian County Detention Center, facing a charge of Rape.
