Police: Man Beats Up Girlfriend, Takes Baby

By: Amanda Ashley
Updated: January 21, 2013
A Springdale man faces kidnapping and aggravated assault charges after his girlfriend said he beat her up, choked her and then disappeared with her infant son.

In the police report, 24-year-old Brentley Wolfgang's girlfriend told officers it all started with a fight Sunday, when Wolfgang knocked her unconscious in the couple's driveway and took off with the victim's child a short time later.

Police arrested Wolfgang and found the child two hours later. This morning, Wolfgang is out of jail, released yesterday, on a five thousand dollar bond.  In addition to kidnapping and aggravated assault charges, he also faces misdemeanor charges, including endangering the welfare of a minor.
