Tulsa Komen

By: Neile
Updated: October 29, 2008
My friend Sarah LaVaute and I drove to Tulsa Saturday morning to meet my family for the Tulsa Komen Run! The drive took a little longer than expected thanks to some fog! We had so much fun! My sister ran the 5k then my friend Sarah and I walked the untimed 5k and the 1mile fun run. Check out my niece as she goes all out. I also ran into friends from high school and then friends from Northwest Arkansas as well. Later I talked to my grandma Klober who couldn't make the race. She is a breast cancer survivor and said my niece ran up to her and said "GG i did the Komen run for you". How sweet is that. We then booked it over to catch my other niece and her first soccer game! What a day! SO special to get to participate in the event with my family and friends! I can't wait for April and this years race day!
