One Man Dead After Shooting Near Schools in Morrilton, AR

Morrilton Police say they have one person in custody after a deadly shooting that occurred near the high school and middle school campuses Monday afternoon.

According to Morrilton PD, officers responded to the shooting just after 3:00 Monday afternoon on Adams Street in the North Hills Subdivision.

Upon arrival, officers say they found a man, approximately 28 years old, who had been shot. That man later died from his injuries.

Police say that although the incident happened near the high school and middle school campuses, no students, faculty or staff were injured or involved.

Officers are not yet releasing the name of the man killed.
