A portion of a Fayetteville road is closed after a person riding a moped was swept away by fast-moving water.
Rescue crews were called when witnesses reported a man on a moped being swept away as he tried to cross the low-water bridge near the intersection of Frisco Ave. and Prospect St.
The witnesses say they were able to grab the man's hand and pull him from the water.
Fayetteville Police have blocked the road for the time being to prevent other motorists from trying to cross the water.
