Gentry Police are investigating an armed robbery in which the suspect is a 13-year-old boy.
According to a media release, Gentry Police were called Tuesday to an armed robbery at the Phillips 66 at the corner of Highway 59 and Highway 12.
The clerk told police a 13-year-old white male came into the store and, after other customers left, approached the counter, pointed a dark-colored handgun at her and demanded cigarettes.
According to police, the suspect also took other items from the store, but no money.
The teen then fled behind nearby businesses. The first officers arrived on scene within one minute of receiving the 911 dispatch and were able to locate the suspect. After a short foot pursuit they took him into custody without incident.
At the time of his arrest, the teen was still in possession of the loaded .22- caliber revolver used in the robbery.

During a subsequent search police found all of the stolen items with the teen as well as an additional unloaded revolver.
After further questioning, police learned the suspect used an axe to break into his parents' locked bedroom and steal the gun used in the robbery.
The teen was taken to the Benton County Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing on charges that include aggravated robbery, a class Y felony, and minor in possession of a handgun, a class A misdemeanor.
Gentry Police are continuing their investigation. Reports will be sent to the Benton County Prosecutor's Office.
Because of his age, police are not releasing the name of the suspect at this time.
