It's the Anniversary of Space Shuttle Columbia on Friday's Edition of "The Pulse"

Netflix announces a new plan and the dow hits an unexpected high. Here is Friday's edition of "The Pulse".

Country singer Randy Travis pleaded guilty to drunken driving. He got two years probation and a 2-thousand dollar fine, but avoided jail time. Last August, the 53-year-old was found naked, lying on a road in Texas. Deputies say he'd crashed his car.

Netflix
Netflix is branching out into original programming. Their program, "House of Cards," stars two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey and is produced by award-winning director David Fincher, but you won't see this drama on any broadcast or cable network, it will only be on Netflix. And the whole season will be available at once, so viewers won't have to wait a week for the next episode.

Dow Jones
For the first time since october 2007, the Dow Jones industrial average hit 14,000.
A few minutes later, stocks retreated below the psychologically-important level.
Helping boost the Dow: The economy added 157,000 jobs last month, as construction spending rose nearly one-percent. The NASDAQ and S&P 500 also saw gains.

Columbia
Ten years ago Friday,  streaks flew across the Texas sky, marking the end of America's first space shuttle, and the lives of its crew. On February 1st, 2003, the space shuttle Columbia broke up as it re-entered the earth's atmosphere. The search for what's left of the spacecraft ended, but the lessons learned and the memory of Columbia's crew live on.

Koch Death
Former New York Mayor Ed Koch has died. Koch reportedly dying of congestive heart failure early this morning in New York. He had been in intensive care after being admitted to the hospital Monday. Koch served three terms at city hall from 1978 to 1989.
