Fort Smith Police Searching for Woman's Killer

New information in the death of a Fort Smith woman, has police searching for her killer.

According to investigators, 50-year-old Sakounsouk Vilayhong was found dead by her husband at their home on January 24.

Police said she had spent most of the day at a local casino and believed the death was "suspicious." Information released from the medical examiner Friday stated the cause of death was strangulation. The department is awaiting notification from the Arkansas State Crime Lab for the presence of DNA evidence obtained from Ms. Vilayhong's body.
