Fayetteville Council Reconsiders Land Sale

By: KNWA News
Updated: February 5, 2013
Fayetteville City Council Members will meet Tuesday night to discuss the sale of two acres of land that once housed a Tyson Factory.
Kum & Go made an initial offer to the city to purchase the land on Huntsville Rd. for $900,000 but at the January 15th Council meeting, Casey's General Store made their own offer of $1 million for the land.

The council decided to table the issue until tonight's meeting while they considered the two offers.

The city originally bought the property for a little more than $1 million back in 2004

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Fayetteville City Hall.

You can watch the meeting live when it starts, here.
