The 250 golden ticket winners are getting their shot at the Idol crown, and it starts with the guys.

It's off to tinseltown for 250 golden ticket winners, hoping to survive American Idol's hollywood week.

"Very emotional, very crazy, people breaking down, people wanting to go home," explains judge Nicki Minaj.  "It's going to make for some great tv."

"There are some uncomfortable moments this year," says host Ryan Seacrest.  "These contestants come back being the best of in the cities and they think they will be at the top of 250 contestants and they are not cause it's the best of the entire nation."

With so much at stake for everyone, expect the pressure to be even more intense with the new judges.

"A lot of passionate arguing cause it's hard to wittle it down and especially when it's your first season judging," says veteran judge Randy Jackson.  "You pull for people you believe in and you want them to get better."

"Ultimately we narrowed it down to the best of the best, but there are always are a couple of people who everyone can't seem to agree on," reveals Minaj.
