Minneapolis researchers say they've identified an enzyme that causes the DNA mutation found in most breast cancer cases.
It's called Apobec-3B and scientists say the find will help create a simple blood test that could spot the onset of breast cancer well before a mammogram might.
It could, researchers believe, even lead to a drug that could shut down the mutation of Apobec-3B, preventing the cancer all together.
