A group of dads is making a difference in local schools from Springdale to New York City.
It all started with a grass roots movement in a Springdale elementary school, shortly after the Jonesboro school shooting in 1998.
Now, the Watch D.O.G.S. program has taken off, spreading across the country.
Watch D.O.G.S. puts volunteers at schools as another set of eyes and an extra layer of security for students.
The dads even made an appearance on national TV Monday.
This morning, Eric Snow, Thomas Dunlap, Dr. Byron Winston and Todd Easterling, who are all part of the local effort, joined us in the studio.
