A familiar face patrolling a Lakers game, and one girl gives her boyfriend the ultimate gift for Valentine's Day.

In Los Angeles, funnyman Will Ferrell apparently decided to try his hand at being a security guard. The actor made an appearance at the Los Angeles Lakers game, escorting NBA great Shaquille O'Neal from the floor. Your lesson here, be on your best behavior next time you're at the Lakers game or Ferrell may come after you.

In China, eight  panda cubs born last year have given some hope to the formerly endangered species. These guys were artificially bred, their parents specially chosen to produce strong and healthy cubs. Eight cubs, by six different pandas, were born to diversify the species.

In Kansas, this girlfriend wins the prize for best Valentine's gift. She gave her boyfriend a kidney. After a year on the donor list, his own girlfriend turned out to be a perfect match.
