"He's a great dude and will probably be one of my best friends for the rest of my life," junior pitcher Brandon Moore says of his current Diamond Hog, and former Van Buren Pointer, teammate Tyler Spoon. "Coming up here sometimes you're not going to know everybody so coming up here and knowing somebody it definitely helps a lot," Spoon added.
During the last two years Moore emerged as one of the top of the arms coming out of the Bullpen. Success didn't coming as easily for Spoon, who made his Razorback debut on opening day after redshirting last spring.
"Physically he got pretty big, he was kinda small when he came in here don't tell him I said that," Moore said of Spoon.
"Last year was definitely a humbling experience it just kind of put things in perspective and helped me get things right," Spoon said about his first year on campus. "He mentally grew up, physically grew up its kinda like a whole different dude," Moore added.
The pairs friendship dates back to their days as kids, and goes beyond the Diamond. This summer the two traveled to the baseball crazed Island of the Dominican Republic sharing lessons learned on the field while also practicing their faith on a religious Mission trip.
