Race car driver Danica Patrick has roared into NASCAR history.
She's the first woman to win the pole position for the Daytona 500, which means she'll start in the front row in the February 24th race, alongside Jeff Gordon.
In her first full year as a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver, Patrick put up a qualifying speed of close to 200 miles per hour.

Pieces of presidential history get auctioned off in Massachusetts.
A bidder spent $629,000 on an Air Force One bomber jacket, which was once owned by President John F. Kennedy.
It was one of more than 700 pieces auctioned off, Sunday.
Other lots included documents, photographs, letters, and gifts.
They all come from the estate of David Powers, a longtime friend and assistant of JFK.

A woman claims an Idaho businessman slapped her 19-month old son on a Delta Air Lines flight.
Jessica Bennett says Joe Hundley used a racial slur while demanding she quiet her crying toddler.
Then, she says, Hundley slapped the boy in the face.  
Hundley now faces a federal charge and was fired from his job at an Idaho aerospace company.

Arkansas authorities found the body of country music star Mindy McCready dead of an apparent suicide.
Deputies responded to a 911 call Sunday afternoon of gunshots fired at her home in Heber Springs, AR.
They found her body on the front porch.
Investigators say she died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The troubled singer struggled with addiction and mental illness.
McCready leaves behind two young boys.
The infant's father, record producer David Wilson, killed himself last month.

New details this morning in the shooting death of model Reeva Steenkamp at the South African home of her boyfriend, Olympic running sensation Oscar Pistorius.
An official familiar with the investigation tells CNN Steenkamp was shot four times through the bathroom door and that Pistorius carried her downstairs while she was still alive.
The source goes on to say that there are several indications Steenkamp was spending the night at the house, she had an overnight bag and her iPad.
