McCready Suicide Confirmed in Autopsy Results

Autopsy results confirm country singer Mindy McCready's cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The Cleburne County Sheriff's Office in Heber Springs released the information in the following statement Wednesday morning:

Preliminary autopsy results from the Arkansas Crime Lab confirm the manner of death for Malinda G. McCready as suicide, from a single gunshot wound of the head.

McCready was found dead Sunday afternoon at her Heber Springs home.
