The last half of the top 20 girls head to Vegas, for their turn to hit the jackpot, hoping to impress the judges, like last weeks ladies.

"The bar is pretty high from the girls last week but I know we've got some amazing singers in there so I think what we're going to see is really great diversity," says judge Keith Urban.

"The first batch of girls that we saw were so amazing and so star studded, the bar is definitely high so these girls are going to have to come like they singing for their life," Nicki Minaj says.

Slugged the "sudden death" rounds, only half of the 10 gals move on to sing again.

For the judges it's never easy to pick only five.

"Once again like last week some good singers didn't quite make it. It's a hard task but I think America is going to have a great cast in front of them to chose from," says Randy Jackson.

And just like they'll have to do all competition long, standing out has to happen everytime they take the stage.

"The expectation for this group of ten - I can't even imagine how we're going to handle it. They're such diverse talents.  How do you say this person who sings country is better than this person who is more of a soul diva. I'm nervous. I don't know what the outcome is going to be," says judge Mariah Carey.
