Brother and Sister Arrested for Stealing Shotgun from Neighbor

Springdale Police arrested a man and woman accused of burglarizing their neighbor's home.
Springdale Detectives were called to a home on Horseshoe Drive in reference to a home that was burglarized on February 6.
The residents told police among the stolen items were a Sony Playstation III, an iPod, some clothing and a Remington 20 gauge shotgun.
The day after the burglary, the victim reported seeing a neighbor, 28-year-oldTiffeny Pachl, wearing the stolen clothing.
When the victim confronted Pachl, she returned the clothing and other items that were taken during the burglary.
Police executed a search warrant on Pachl's home. When police interviewed her, Pachl admitted to burglarizing the neighbor's home with help from her brother, 22-year-old Christopher Mendoza, but she denied taking the shotgun.

Police met with Mendoza on Tuesday and arrested him on an unrelated warrant.

During an interview, Mendoza also admitted to burglarizing the home with his sister and taking the shotgun.
He told them his sister had taken the gun, wrapped it up in clothing and carried it to her home across the street.
Mendoza and Pachl were both charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor theft of property. They are both currently in the Washington County Jail.
