The Death of Hugo Chavez on Tuesday's Edition of "The Pulse"

A new car could keep you from ever having to hit the gas pumps, and a new Pope is in the works. Here is Tuesday's edition of "The Pulse".

New Volkswagen
Volkswagen, unveiling what they call the "world's most fuel-efficient car". Called the XL1, the car is a two-seat diesel plug-in hybrid. The company says the car will get an estimated 261 miles per gallon with an all-electric driving range of over 30 miles.

Snowstorms
Winter snowstorms continue to hit parts of the US, this time the midwest is the target. After having to clean up from the storms last week, another one is on its way and is expected to hit areas from Minneapolis to Chicago within the next few days.

New Pope
Catholic cardinals have met for a second day at the vatican to select a new pope. A date has not been set for a the conclave to select a successor, and the chapel was closed to the public Tuesday in preparation for the big meeting.

Dow Jones Hits Record High
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, jumping to a new record high. The Dow climbed 125 points to close at a record high, beating the previous record set in October of 2007. The S&P, also setting records, adding 15 points and finishing at its highest level since 2007 as well.

Hugo Chavez Death
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez has died. His Vice President made the announcement Friday, Chavez was last seen publicly in December. Just earlier Friday, the Venezuelan government said the president was suffering from a new severe respiratory infection, related to his cancer surgery, even blaming domestic and foreign enemies, saying there is scientific proof that Chavez was poisoned. He was 58 years old
