Sequoyah County: Arrest Made in 1997 Cold Case

Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart says, Rex Robbins was arrested for the 1997 murder of Mitchell Nixon, Wednesday morning.

 

The 27th district Attorneys Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been following up and working with the Sequoyah County Sheriffs Office on the cold case homicides in the area.

 

Lockhart says Nixons body was found on October 9, 1997 on Radio Tower Road in Sequoyah County.

 

Additional arrests are expected.
