breaking news
On March 6-th, an armed man walked into the Eureka Pizza off Elm Springs Road and took all the money from the cash register and safe, pointing his gun at the two employees and even pepper spraying one of them.
Then, fifteen days later, another Springdale Eureka Pizza was robbed at gunpoint by a black male wearing ski mask.
The next day, March 22-nd, an armed man held up the Subway on Sunset, dropping some of the money as he ran.
That makes three armed robberies this month, all of them relatively close to one another. So could they be connected?
Police say they are investigating a possible connection between the two Eureka Pizza robberies, but because of suspect descriptions, they don`t believe the Subway robbery is connected to the others.
There are other factors that may be behind these recent crimes.
Police say crimes increase during the warmer months.
Springdale`s growing population, police say, is another reason crime increases-- because with a larger population, you`re going to also have more crime.
If you have any information on any of these robberies...call the Springdale Police Department`s tip line at 750-4484.
