The Militia of Washington County will be looking for a new place to meet, after a fire broke out at its building Friday morning.
The building went up in flames around 6:00 a.m. When fire fighters arrived, the building was still burning. Investigators say the fire started in the office, and completely destroyed that portion of the building. The rest of the damage was from smoke.
The building was used by the Militia for weekly meetings. This is the same building that Hollis Wayne Fincher worked out of. He now sits in the Sebastian County Jail after being convicted of felony gun charges.
Although the fire marshal said no guns were found inside, there was a little ammunition, which is not uncommon for the area.
Officials have not ruled out arson. They say an official report will be released Monday.
