Republican Senator John Mccain announced today that he is running for President. Mccain made the announcement in New Hampshire, where he touted his experience in war and in Washington. The Arizona Senator talked about mistakes made in Iraq and told supporters he can fix those problems, saying, "I want my presidency to be an opportunity to fix what we all know needs to be fixed, to strengthen our military, to use the power of american ideals, to win the war against violence of extremists." Mccain was once thought to be front-runner for the GOP nomination but he is now falling behind in some national polls.
