Farmington Tax

By: Staff
Updated: April 26, 2007
Early voting began in Farmington this week  for the sales tax election.
Voters will decide on the issue of extending a one-cent sales tax.
The tax would  help pay for the rehabilitation of the old sewer system along with the city's portion of installing new lines and building a lift station.
The Mayor says if the vote fails, the improvements will have to be paid for by increasing sewer bills.
