This is Joyce Reed's story. She is the 2008 Komen Ozark Race For The Cure Race Chair.
Joyce started a support group at Tyson headquarters in Springdale.
From the outside looking in you might think it's just another meeting, but it's much more.
It's a support group. You don't have to be a " Cancer Survivor" or even a patient to come here.
Anyone, that is in the Tyson Family that has an illness or has a family member that is sick can attend.
The group meets monthly.
Joyce Reed started it because she knows how helpful extra support can be when your fighting for your life.

Joyce says after she was diagnosed with breast cancer a co-worker came
to her aid. A friend that kept others informed and always offered
Joyce support.
The support group came months later. It was a way Joyce felt she could give back and she hopes others will do the same.
