Phone Card Drive

By:
Updated: April 29, 2007
Murphy, USA and STT-NWA are teaming up to hold a phone card donation drive to run concurrently with the 3rd Annual Spc Lyle Rymer care package drive. Beginning April 27, 2007 through June 04, 2007, the public can go to any Murphy USA gas station (in front of every Wal-Mart supercenter in Arkansas and Oklahoma) and purchase phone cards. They can then give those cards to the attendants at the Murphy USA station and request that they be donated to local soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The public can also go to any local retailer, purchase the phone cards, and they simply bring them by any local Murphy USA station and the attendants will be pleased to accept those phone cards as well to be sent to local soldiers. On June 04, 2007, Murphy USA will gather all the donated phone cards, and deliver them to Support the Troops - NWA. Support the Troops - NWA will then include those phone cards in the shipment of the spring 2007 care package drive donations over to Iraq and Afghanistan. There, local soldiers will be able to use those donated cards to call home to family and friends, thus making their tours of duty a little more bearable, bringing home a little bit closer to them during their tour. Any further media requests and/or questions should be referred to David Williams. Chairman, Support the Troops - NWA or David Gibbons, Regional Manager for Murphy, USA. David Gibbons may be reached via email at david_gibbon@murphyoilcorp.Com
