Its something new at Chick- Fil-A, four employees stand out here and actually greet drivers face to face to take their order.
Chick-Fil-A owner Jim Bryant told us they are doing this to better serve their customers. Chick-Fil-A on College is a popular lunch spot for folks on the go and Bryant noticed the drive through line was getting longer and longer.
So, he increased their staff and moved four employees outside to give a more personal approach.
Two employees actually walk with the drivers and take their order and a third employee calls the customers order into the restaurant through a head set.
.
Finally when the customer is pulling up to the window to pay, the last outside employee is there to offer condiments. So far this system seems to be working. Bryant said hes been able to serve 50 more customers in the same amount of time.
The outside customer service is only offered during rush hour, from 11:30 until 1pm.
