Fayetteville joined Moscow, Rome, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, and more than 200 other major cities around the world, in the Million Marijuana March in protest of marijuana prohibition. Locals kicked off Saturdays march at the Greek Theater on the University of Arkansas campus, and proceeded down Dickson to the Federal Courthouse. Cannabis-related events have been taking place each year since 1999, all promoting the rights of a personal lifestyle choice.
